I am 63 years old, been doing CrossFit for almost two years. MetCons destroy me. I just did a Scaled Masters Comp on Saturday (3 WODs, Floater and Finals). I got through the day OK, but I have been destroyed for three days. Not muscle soreness. Just weak, listless and nauseous; almost flu-like for over 72-hours.
I’ve seen your article in WODtalk entitled “The Paradox of the Aging Athlete” Part 1 on Muscles. I was not able to locate any follow-up links to Part II, etc. Do you have any guidance for an aging athlete regarding enhancing recovery?
